This session will discuss the definition of first-generation students and the specific issues that first-generation students at the University of Westminster may face, as well as ways in which staff can help to improve these students' experiences and academic achievements.
Objectives
The objective of this session is to provide information to staff about the potential barriers to learning and attainment for first-generation students and provide a space for discussion on how best to support these students to achieve to the best of their ability.
