Overview / Event description
Emotional processing refers to the way in which we cope with, or ‘process’, emotional events; it is the process by which emotional disturbances are absorbed or resolved and the extent to which they no longer bother or interfere with our normal experience of life. Having a greater understanding of emotional processing can be beneficial in anything from everyday arguments to major psychological distress and trauma. Effective emotional processing is essential to our health, quality of life and sense of wellbeing. Emotional Processing Scale – Wellbeing is designed to help employees understand and enhance the way in which they handle emotions and specific situations (e.g. improving work interactions, dealing with decision-making stress, organisational change, etc.)
Before the workshop, the delegates will have the opportunity to complete the EPS-W questionnaire and receive a Personal Insight Report. During the workshop, they will be introduced to the EPS-W questionnaire and the Emotional Processing Model and shown how to use the results in their
teaching and personal development.
Objectives
By the end of the workshop, delegates would be able to:
1. Explain EPS-W development and how EPS-W factors relate to the Emotional Processing Model.
2. Gain a deeper insight into their emotional processing.
3. Develop an action plan based on the EPS-W Personal Insight report, on
how to enhance their teaching to improve their and students' wellbeing.
